Angelo: My Froggy Friend

Tonight something strange yet hilarious happened...and I just had to share it with you all! I was at my older sister's house watching Law & Order SVU (we're addicted to that show, but thats besides the point...) when we heard a strange noise. Now let me just say that watching this show makes me extremely paranoid, so I was a little freaked out. Since it was blazing saddles today we had all the windows and screen doors open to let some cool air in, so naturally we thought the noise was coming from outside. The first time we heard the noise we didn't think too much of it and kept watching the show...we figured kitty was trying to get inside. (Kitty is Mel's extremely sweet, fatso cat that is ALWAYS begging for food! Our nickname for him is fat bastard..lol!) anyway, we went on watching Benson and Stabler kick some criminal booty. Then we heard the noise again, but this time it sounded like it was coming from INSIDE the house. We heard a rustling sound near the refrigerator and decided to pause the show and check it out....this is what we found!

I couldn't believe it! I have NO CLUE how this little guy got inside the house, but he sure found his way in, and he wasn't quiet about it..lol! After freaking out for a second we ran and got her hubby to capture our froggy friend and set him free. Of course I wanted to take a picture of him (how could I pass up an opportunity like this?) and when I did the flash scared him and he ran behind the refrigerator...Oopps! My Bad!! Then my brother in-law had to move the fridge before finally capturing the little guy.
This is our froggy friends mug shot... :)We decided to name him Angelo, and I was pretty excited seeing as I'd never actually seen a frog that close up before...lol! Anyway after Angelo was captured he was released back into the wild (aka Mel's backyard) and hopefully he will be very happy there! :) I still can't believe it, but it definitely made for an interesting night. Thanks for reading about my "Froggy Adventure" and much love!♥

  3. Hahaha!! That's funny I saw your comment answering me back on your newest blog and I was all "umm is she talking to me?" lol! =) That's crazy, I work in Riverside and the photoshoot I did this week was actually in Redlands! Wow! Virginia, that's cool! Change is always fun and exciting but sad and a little scary at the same time! I can see why your stressed, moving without the hubby! =( It will all work out! I'm sure he will be SOOO proud of you for making the move on your own and being so strong!!! Everytime I deal with a situation while my hubby is gone, no matter how hard it is, it makes it all worth it when I make him proud. =) Have you heard of the Mission Inn? I work there. I'm a bartender.

  5. I agree this comment thing can be a little confusing! I'm still getting use to the blogging system lol. =) Yeah the Mission Inn is really pretty. It's sooo beautiful during Christmas time with all the lights! I love it! Well since we are almost neighbors we should get together for lunch or drinks or something and we can complain about the military ;) lol. It's crazy how I came across your blog and you happen to live so close. All the blogs I read are from people all over, in different states. You can even swing by my work if you have time too. I work at the new wine bar the put up. It's really pretty! Let me know if you ever feel up to it. my email is bekafive@yahoo.com =) I read in your other blog that you have been feeling down a little. As a fellow military wife I'm here for you!

  6. I have heard that its gorgeous there during Christmas time! my hubby wanted to take me there last year but he was home on leave and we only had 10 days together and both our families and friends really wanted to see him, so we were a bit pressed for time and didn't get to go. :( Maybe someday tho! And that would be really cool to get together some time and maybe grab some coffee or a bite to eat! I'm a little busy lately with preparing for the move but if I get some free time i will definitely email you! :) Thanks for your sweet comments and the support!

    xoxo
