Getting to know me...

I've noticed that in the past few weeks I've gained quite a few new followers so I thought I'd take some time to introduce myself again for those of you who are new to my blog. So lets see...where should I start? Here goes!

I'm Brittney and In case you couldn't tell, I'm married to a sailor. So far we've made it through a year and a half of navy life including boot camp, a-school and a deployment. Its been a fast and bumpy ride so far but we're just trying to make it through everything the Navy throws our way. Its not always easy, and most days it feels like a roller coaster, but for now we're just trying to enjoy the ride. :)

I am a fashion freak, vintage obsessed and in love with all types of music. I'm pretty much the girliest girly girl there is. Audrey Hepburn is my fashion icon, and in my opinion a Goddess. ♥

My favorite colors are pink and green, and I love the ocean and watching the sunset from the beach.

My favorite type of jewelry are pearls and diamonds, (what can I say...sometimes I have expensive taste!). No this isn't my wedding ring, but a girl can dream right? ;)
Mexican food is my absolute favorite thing to eat...I could eat it all day, every day. And thats no exaggeration! Put some chips and salsa and some delicious guacamole in front of this girl and it'll be gone faster than you can blink!
I've been involved in alot growing up...from Brownies to Ballet, Tap, Hip Hop dance classes to Drill Team, Flag and two different choirs. (Yes, I was in show choir...I have pictures of my sparkly sequined dress to prove it but I'll spare your eyes from seeing that horrible sight!). Instead we'll just pretend it looked something like this, only way more hideous!

Once I got to high school I decided to try something I had never been good at...sports. I joined Cross Country and track and after a lot of rigorous training I was actually really good. :) I was lucky enough to travel to Hawaii twice for races and meet a lot of amazing girls. Not to mention my Coach was amazing and led us to win our league championships all 4 years of my high school career. My lettermans jacket has all the pretty patches to prove it.♥
Three years ago I met my husband, by chance one day while I was at work. I wasn't exactly "ready" to be in a relationship at the time, but he was patient and after about two months he finally won me over. It was definitely a "head over heels," kind of romance and even though we've had our share of ups and downs, now we're more in love than ever.♥
We were engaged after dating for 6 months, and on August 29th 2009 we said "I do" and promised to be each others forever. It was the most nerve wracking, exciting and happiest day of my life.♥
Since that day we've just been trying to make it in this big world and enjoy each day along with the blessings we are lucky enough to have. Our life isn't a fairytale, but thats what makes it all the more beautiful.
Now that the navy has brought us all the way to Virginia we are enjoying the experience of living somewhere new and meeting new people. :) We are also preparing for our second deployment a few months from now, and I am already anxious for it to start just so we can get it over with. After all Homecoming is the best part of deployment.
So thats a little bit about me... :) I hope you all enjoyed my long winded and picture filled post...and if not, hopefully it helped you get to know me a little better. Until Next time...
