Homecoming Sign and Goodies!

Yesterday was absolutely exhausting...but wonderful at the same time! I woke up to a phone call from my hubby and learned that he is back in the states! It won't be too much longer until we are kissing on the pier and we can finally start the next chapter in our lives!!! I don't think I have ever been this nervous or excited in my entire life....I feel like a kid on Christmas morning...too excited to sleep or think of anything but the presents under the tree! ...Except I'm no longer a child and my "present" will be greeting my sailor and welcoming him home (to our very own home) for the first time!

Yesterday went by insanely fast, and I was lucky enough to have Mrs. Gambizzle as my trusty homecoming shopping buddy. We made a lovely trip to the Lynnhaven Mall and let me tell you, that mall is nuts! You can literally get lost in there! :) Mrs. Gambizzle and I also went to Micheal's where we picked up some poster board and adorable patriotic decorations...I wanted to make a sign for my love and hang it on our front door the day he comes home...and I must say, it came out fabulous! Don't believe me? Here, See for yourself!

It reads, "Welcome Home My Sexy Chocolate...I Love You Forever...Love Always Your Sexy Pants." For those of you who don't already know...my hubby calls me Sexy Pants and he is my Sexy Chocolate! I donno why he started calling me that, but after three years it still sticks, and I'll admit I can't stop smiling when I get an email from him calling me "Sexy Pants!" He certainly knows how to make me smile! :)

Anyway, I got something sexy...(and naughty!) to wear for my hubby once he is home, but I will spare you the details! Wink, Wink! ;) Lets just say I got something from here...
And a little something from here...that I'm sure my hubby will love! ;)
After we went shopping, Mrs. Gambizzle and I headed back to my house and added some finishing touches and unpacked a few more things in my living room. She is a genius and actually helped me put together my table and chairs that was still sitting there in my living room...I am not a handy woman by any means but leave it to Mrs. G to get right down to business..she had it figured out within five minutes and within an hour or so the set was completely put together! She also helped me decorate my bookshelf and put up some lovely Marilyn Monroe vintage tin posters in my kitchen...it totally goes with my red, black and white theme, and I love it! But sadly I don't have a picture right now...i am saving that for the post I am gonna write about my house, and I will FINALLY post pictures for you all to see...I am just hesitant because I am still unpacking and I like everything to be in its proper place.

Anyway, yesterday was a success and I couldn't have done it without the help of Mrs. Gambizzle...she has been such a great friend to me since I arrived here, and I am so thankful that I have amazing people like her in my life! I am feeling the love and counting my blessings! I am so thankful to the Lord for getting me through these past ten months and always picking me up when I fell down. I realize now more than ever that with Christ by my side as my Lord and Savior I can make it through the hardships of this life. I would also like to acknowledge the fact that without my family, friends, and of course my fellow milspouse bloggers I would not have been able to make it through this last year with my sanity in tact! So thank you all for your kindness, encouragement, and most of all your Love! It means so much to me that you have all stood by me during this roller coaster ride that is Military life! Now I only have a short amount of time left before the Love of my Life is back in my arms and my heart is once again completely whole.

  7. YAY! I bet you're beside yourself! The sign looks fabulous and I know he will love it! How artistic!

Totally stalker-ish but what area are you living in? When we first moved to Va Beach from CT we moved to green run [frightening back then] and then I moved to Norfolk. Lynnhaven is one of the best malls in the area, even if it's worth the drive, but if you're close, that makes it even better!
