Homecoming Bliss

Yesterday was definitely one of the happiest days of my life, and I am so so happy to say that after almost an entire year apart, my husband is finally home safe and sound! Words simply can't express the joy I have in my heart and I am so thankful to the Lord for helping us get through all the hard times over the last year, there's no way we could have made it without our Lord and Savior!! I would also like to thank Mrs. Gambizzle for helping me so much over the last few weeks before my hubby came home. She has been the most wonderful friend, and I continue to be amazed at her kindness and willingness to help others! She is truly a special Lady!!

This last week has been crazy, but wonderful all at the same time. Not only did Mrs. Gambizzle go with me to my hubby's homecoming ceremony and take some fabulous photos for us, she helped me every step of the way...by this I mean she went homecoming shopping for my goodies and homecoming sign decorations, she helped me put together my table and chairs and decorate my house a little more, she gave me a manicure and painted my pretty fingernails and went with me to the homecoming meeting/party the day before my hubbs was coming home. She has truly been a blessing and once again, thank you my dear! :)

I can't find my own camera at this moment so I will share with you the photos that Mrs. Gambizzle took for us...they are fabulous!
Here's the sign I made for my baby, and a pretty bow I made for the front door! ♥
Mrs. Gambizzle and I waited rather impatiently for what felt like FOREVER...I think it was only about three hours though, lol! Here's a pic we snapped while waiting for my love...♥
Here's me nervously waiting for the ship to pull in...Like my dress and Fabulous jewelry?! Mrs. Gambizzle made my necklace and earrings for me...I love them! ♥
We were sitting around waiting when an Officer from another ship came over and announced that my Hubby's ship would be arriving half an hour early!! Woo-hoo! We we're so excited and the anticipation was killing me...time was dragging! Once the ship pulled around the corner everyone started cheering and yelling, and you could feel the excitement in the air. There were so many families there with small children, decked out with signs that read "Welcome Home Daddy" and it just melted my heart!
After the ship came around the corner it took a long time for them to back it in and secure it before they let everyone off...The "VIP" people (basically everyone in the FRG and the new parents) got to meet their loved ones first. It was so touching to see the new Dads holding their new babies for the very first time...I can't even imagine how that must have felt! ♥ Once all that commotion was over with they opened the gates and we all started flooding onto the pier...I was frantically searching for my sailor and it felt like his boot camp graduation all over again! Lol! Mrs. Gambizzle actually spotted him first and I ran right up to him and threw my arms around him!♥
I can't even tell you how good it felt to wrap my arms around the man I love...my heart was over joyed, my cup runneth over!! ♥ Here's us sharing our first kiss...♥
My handsome sailor even brought me Roses, which I was not expecting! It was so sweet and he made me feel so special and loved!!! :)
Yesterday will forever be ingrained in my memory as one of the happiest days of my life...I can honestly say that although we had to wait a long time it was definitely worth the wait!!
Thank you again to Mrs. Gambizzle for all your kindness and hard work in helping me prepare for our special day!!♥
