I want to get away...

Lately I've been trying to fight off the travel bug, but I just can't help it anymore...I want to explore the East Coast and see something fabulous! I was thinking maybe Washington D.C.
Or perhaps Philadelphia...
Or Maybe New York City?
The possibilities are endless! Too bad I just started a new job and won't have any time off for awhile.... :( Oh well....A girl can dream right? ♥ What are some great places you've visited along the East coast?

  1. I've been up and down the East Coast far too many times! My favorite places were Newport (Rhode Island), New York City, Annapolis, Boston, Charleston, and Savannah. I'm dying to go to Beaufort though (on the coast between Charleston and Savannah)... I'm making Chris take me for a weekend when he gets home :)

It's hard to pick an absolute favorite, but if I had to choose one, it would probably be Boston. Or NYC. Especially around Christmas time!

  2. The great thing about the est coast is that everything is so close together you can see everything in a week! I love Philadelphia. My Aunt lives there and the city has this old historic charm that I love. DC is so much fun too. There is lots to learn. I have never been to New York though. That is next on the list!

  4. The only place I've ever been on the East Coast was Hilton Head, and that was when I was 5! We went on a family vacation/my dad's business trip. I haven't been anywhere along the coast since, and I'd love to go to any (or all!) of the places you mentioned! I hope you get to go sometime :)

  5. D.C. is awesome, but you definitely need some time to see it all.

A good weekend trip from where you are is Charlottesville, VA. It's gorgeous -- definitely go to Thomas Jefferson's home of Monticello and hit up lots of the area wineries. I guess I'm partial though, since we got engaged on that trip.

The Outer Banks is a good day trip, especially at this time of year. Hit up the Wright Brothers Memorial and then just drive around.

I hope you're able to get out and see some awesome stuff!

  6. I've only been to D.C and I LOVED it! I was wishing that we would get based East Coast because I want to travel around over there. Public transportation is much better over there than it is over on the West Coast (at least where I am from!) and so it is super easy to travel around over there. I hope you get to visit all of those places!

  7. Washington DC and Boston are two of my favorite cities! I didn't really like NYC but I'm basically the only person I know that doesn't like it.

  13. I absolutly love the panhandle of Florida, OBX, DC and NYC! Snowshoe in West Virginia isn't too far and is okay during the winter. I always wanted to go up to the New England area but never got around to it. I can only imagine how beautiful it is :)
