My favorite thing about being a Navy wife are the friendships that I have made with fellow Navy wives. I am grateful for my Navy family as they can understand the ups and downs of the military life. I just came across your blog and wanted to thank you for the giveaway! I am a new follower as well

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about being a Navy S/O is being in love with someone who is doing something so selfless. He is giving up a lot to do something that makes me so proud of him, even though it is/will keep us apart a lot. He's doing something that I wish I had the courage to do (but I guess in a way I am being with him) and he truly is my hero. And making all these great new friends who understand what I'm going through is a definite bonus! :)

ReplyDelete(I thought I submitted this earlier... but I guess I closed the comment form before hitting submit.. oops!)
My Favorite thing about being a Navy wife is the strength it has given my marriage, the communication and the closeness between my husband and I. Our relationship always feels new and I still get butterflies. :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about being a Navy wife is the pride I have in my husband and what he does for his family and country. I know what he goes through because I too served my country alongside with him. He is a hard worker, fair leader, and rocks the hell out of those dress whites! grrr!
But in all seriousness, I love being able to face the future together and never look back at the past.

What a wonderful giveaway!
ReplyDeleteSo I have to say my favorite thing about being a Navy S/O is the fact that we go through plenty of unconventional stresses. I know what your thinking, how can the stress of the Navy be my favorite thing?
Well, Field OP's, Late Nights, Early Mornings, Trainings, Deployments and all the time we spend apart is not fun but it is the ultimate test in our relationship. After T deployed we both realized (more than before)we can truly make it though anything and everything together. The uncertainty and unexpected twists and turns that comes with T being in the Navy has allowed our relationship to grow in ways I feel it could not grow otherwise.
In the 16 months we have been dating, T and I have been through a ton together. A ton of stresses a "normal" relationship would never see. We knew in the beginning this would be hard, and without a doubt it has been, but we now know we can make it through whatever this life throws our way. It is all thanks to the Navy and that is my favorite part of being a Navy S/O.

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about being a Navy S/O is being inlove with my hero. I have become a stronger woman I've never thought I'd be. I love seeing him in his uniforms and how he just stands out.. I can't explain just how proud I am for him. There is no other life out there for us..this is the best life for my family. I love meeting new wives and I've met amazing ones that know exactly what I'm going through and I love that! I am not alone here. It's a tough life to get use to, but I'm up for all the challenges this life will bring!

ReplyDeleteI love being a navy wife for many reasons; a.)seeing my hubby in uniform, b.)I am pround to know that he is out there helping to defend our country, c.)all of my best friends are from totally different places, yet we are all so much alike. If it were not for the navy I would have never met them! This is a hard life and at the same time it is a wonderful way to live!

My favorite thing about being a Navy wife is the camaraderie within the community. The sub world is a small one compared to the other branches of the military, so we all stick together. But I also love that uniform!! :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about being a Navy Wife is the support that I give my husband and that he gives back to me. We have the most open and honest relationship I think that either of us has ever been in before and it is because we know that there are times that we won't get to talk for long periods. I also enjoy the sense of belonging I have with the other Navy spouses =)
my favorite thing is being able to help support my country through my best friend who just happens to be the love of my life. i wouldn't trade it for the world :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite thing about being a Navy wife for 13 years now, is watching in my children's eyes and hearing in my children's voices the pride they feel for their father. My husband has deployed 3 times since 9/11 and though we are all sad and missing him, I love watching my kids talk about him to others. They are so proud their eyes seem to sparkle.
